Hyperion Legacy

A Hyperion Who’s Who

Happy Valentine’s Day

I hope you have all had a lovely and romantic Valentine’s Day.  I’ve taken a break in between our main course and dessert, to finish writing this post (dear knows my poor tummy needs the break).

A kind lady contacted me and asked, if Hyperion’s Folly was made into a television series, who would I want to play the parts of Poppy and the men in the League.  This has led to quite a few lengthy discussions with one of my sisters and although we haven’t been able to find someone suitable for all the characters, we have managed to get most of them.

The pictures are courtesy of Pinterest and if you are curious, I’ve linked the name of each actor to their page on IMDB.com.  I am of course open to suggestions, for the ones I have been unable to find a suitable candidate for and if you can think of someone better to play the roles I have chosen, then please let me know.

Saturday Spankings

Saturday Spankings

Hyperions Folly Cover 07-January-2016 FinalWelcome to Saturday Spankings.  I’m delighted to say that Hyperion’s Folly is now available to purchase for the special price of £2.10 / $2.99 and A Legal Education is available for £0.99 / $1.41.

The snippet I’ve chosen for today’s Saturday Spankings is from an interaction between two of the newer characters in the book.

When Jamie Kingsley is stumped by a computer problem, he puts out a call for assistance from a buddy from his university days, Emma Walters.

It doesn’t take Emma long to figure out that the problem is the work of someone from both their pasts.  Someone she has been trying to find for years.  Her chance of revenge was finally at her finger tips. There is just one slight flaw in her plan and it’s over 6ft tall and not looking happy at all.

His hand descended continually on her poor bottom while he lectured her. “You will not, I repeat, not go after Night Krawler. It’s too dangerous,” he resolutely proclaimed.

Emma couldn’t contain her anger at his high handedness. As he continued with the assault on her bottom, she felt the tears start at the corner of her eyes. “It’s none of your business what I do,” she yelled at him.

His hand continued to fall and with it, her tears started to flow. “It is my business Emma, if anything happened to you…”

“What do you care anyway?” she cried.

Suddenly she found herself upright and crushed to his chest. “Emma, I more than care for you, I love you,” he murmured in her ear. Emma stiffened in his arms and pulled back the little amount that he would allow.

“You love me?” she asked in shock, happy tingles settling in her tummy.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the lovely people who left me reviews and who contacted personally to let me know how much they enjoyed A Legal Education.  Without your encouragement, there wouldn’t have been a book 2.

TLC – Tables, Ladders & Chairs

Saturday Spankings

It’s been a while since I last participated in a Saturday Spankings.  Hyperion’s Folly, Book 2 of the Hyperion Legacy is due to be released on Tuesday 19th January 2016.  In anticipation of this release, I’ve chosen the below excerpt:-

Hyperions_Folly_Cover_15-October-2015“What is it with you and standing on chairs. We have serval sets of expensive ladders around the house,” he scolded, as he grabbed Poppy around the waist and lifted her off her woman maid tower. Sitting down on an empty chair, he placed his stunned wife between his legs. Undoing the button and zipper on her jeans, he pulled them and her panties down to her thighs and spilled her over his lap. “Not to mention hammers,” he added, as his hand began to repetitively descend on her rapidly reddening globes.

“The ladders and the hammer are somewhere else,” she tried to argue, while unsuccessfully avoiding the fall of his hand. “Ouch!” she shrieked as he moved his hand to her thighs.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to you all!

It’s that time of year, when we sit down and take stock of our lives and begin the process of listing all the things we would like to achieve in the coming year.  I like everyone else, have my own list of resolutions, the main one being, to get back onto a healthy path again, especially considering the ludicrous amount of sweets, biscuits and chocolate I have consumed over the holiday period.

Hyperion’s Folly has to be sent to the advanced readers on Monday, so my editor asked me that question that sends every author into a blubbering wreck.

“Do you have your blurb written?”

As you can tell by this post, I am avoiding doing just that.  To be honest, I find it easier to write the whole story than to try and write the blurb, that for all intense purposes, is the very thing that can attract or scare off potential readers.  Even now, the thought of what to write makes me want to reach for another bar of chocolate.

A lot happens in Hyperion’s Folly and to try and do it justice without giving away to much of the plot is a very daunting prospect.  As my editor is due to come online again very soon, I really can’t put it off any longer.

Wish me luck!

Happy Holidays

shutterstock_218066023I hope everyone has had a lovely holiday break and if like myself you are still not back to work, I hope that you continue to enjoy your time off.

I am currently doing the final read through of Hyperion’s Folly.  My editor has advised that I do this from the point of view of a reader and not as the author.  Not sure that I would be able to do this, I decided that I would read the story to my husband.

My husband who is an inspiration for some of the characters traits, keeps looking at me in surprise, as something familiar is shared in the story.  Likewise, there have also been quite a few raised eyebrows and blushing moments at the unfamiliar scenes too.

Now on a completely different note, I thought I would share with you what I am currently reading.  These days with writing myself, I don’t often get a chance to read much myself but seeing as it’s Christmas, I thought I would indulge myself.

Currently I have three stories I am working my way through.  All three of these books are from UK authors, who like myself, write Erotic Romance / Erotica.  The first one I have read, is by author Louise Taylor and is called The Incorrigible Anabelle Spencer (Ruttingdon Series Book 1).  This book which is set in the Victorian era, surprisingly has a BDSM theme throughout.  Once I started reading it, I found it very difficult to put down.  The characters are well written and the historical descriptions only add to an already excellent book.  I am relieved to see that this is book one in the series.  Can’t wait to see what the others will hold.

The next book which I am currently reading, is Lighting Shift (A Shift in Time Book 1) by Vanessa Brooks.  This book which is set in the 17th Century just prior to the English Civil War, tells the story of Duncan, who having taken shelter in an old barn in the 21sth Century during a thunder storm, is struck by lightening.  When he wakes up, he finds himself in the body of a man, some four centuries in the past.  Now I haven’t finished reading this one yet but so far, it is very enjoyable.  I am strongly suspecting that Book 2 which is also available, may well be purchased in the not to distant future.

Now finally, the last book that will distract me from my own writing, is Sentenced to the Punishment Clinic by my good friend Carole Archer.  A few months back, Carole visited and told us about her book, Melissa and the Medic.  This latest book which is set in the future, tells the story of a young woman who having been caught stealing, is sent to a punishment clinic to pay for her misdeed.  If this book is anything like her previous medical play stories, I am sure I won’t be disappointed.

Both Carole and Louise’s stories are currently enjoying number one spots with Amazon.com, in the fields of Science Fiction and Regency/Victorian.

If you are interested in any of these stories, check out the links below:-

Speak to you all soon.

Editing Crazy!

Hyperions_Folly_Cover_15-October-2015I had hoped to get a post done before now but the editing process for Hyperion’s Folly has well and truly kicked in, so my time has been taken up with both it and preparations for Christmas.

My saintly editor is trying to work miracles by getting the process completed before Christmas, so we can both relax and enjoy the holiday period.

As you know, I changed the perspective of book two to third person.  As someone who prefers to write in first person, this was a difficult transition.  But the introduction of a lot more characters in this book made it difficult to continue in that perspective.

I promise, I’ll keep you posted of any changes regarding the publishing date.

Hyperion’s Folly – Publishing Date

At last I finally have my publishing date for Hyperion Folly.  It’s not as soon as I would have liked but my publisher has been exceptionally busy.

I have been given a tentative date of 19th January 2016 or if you reside outside of the UK, January 19th 2016.

I can’t wait to hear what you all think of it!

Hyperion’s Folly

Hyperions_Folly_Cover_15-October-2015Over the past few months, quite a few people have made contact, asking when Book 2 would be available.  This was a very frustrating time for me, as I unfortunately couldn’t answer their question.

After some coaxing, I finally received my contract last week.  It was due to unforeseen circumstances, that my manuscript was overlooked but now, it appears that things are underway.  If my last book was any example to go by, then my actual publishing date should follow quite soon after.

I promise, as soon as I know something, I will let you know.

Thank you for your patience.
